22nd - 28th of June 2024
Are you coming with us to this gorgeous Spanish island?
Have you been dreaming of a painting holiday and do you want to explore beautiful Mallorca with a group of likeminded people?
This is the time to take action and give yourself permission to play in the sunshine. We will stay in a charming villa at the east side of Mallorca where you can paint outside. In the morning we will go out to sketchpaint and photograph the surroundings, to gather as much information as possible. In the afternoon you can work from those sketches on a larger scale or paint the beautiful views around the house.
Of course we will also go on excursions to the beautiful diverse coastal landscapes
and visit some interesting museums for even more inspiration.
This trip is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced artist. So don't let the thought of not being good enough stop you from having all this fun with us! I will give a lot of tips about materials, color mixing, lay-out and perspective. And there will be painting prompts for more advanced painters too. Just read the reviews and see how happy all the participants are with my former Art retreats.
What I like most about these trips is that creative people connect so quickly with each other.
So if you feel a bit scared to travel alone, don’t be: you will make new friends before you now it.
And with all the feedback on your paintings you'll make rapid steps in developing your own style.

"During this Retreat I especially learned to keep going and to distance myself from what I am making. Marieke helped me not to immediately think: 'this is rubbish', because it is the beginning of something and you can always improve it and finish it in different ways.
The food and care of everything were top notch and really contributed to the free and relaxed atmosphere. All this allowed me to completely lose myself in the creative process”
