Come and enjoy the landscape with lots of water at Vreeland and Nederhorst den Berg  (between Amsterdam and Utrecht).
 We are staying in a nice farmhouse with a jetty on the water.

Learn here how to capture nature in your own way.
This can range from large (landscape) to very small (flower details).
And from quite precise to (semi) abstract; you can choose which style appeals most to you.

We will work with all kinds of exercises to learn to paint more loosely. You can play with different styles to gain more and more clarity about your unique style. In the morning we sketchpaint outside as much as possible and take photographs to collect information that inspires us to create new work. In the afternoon we will work with this input on a larger format.

 You will learn how to use the landscape as a source of inspiration,
but also how to apply details from nature in interesting ways. Several beautiful animal portraits have been made in recent years, so you can also work with your own theme. Everyone is guided individually.

We discuss your work at the end of every day and on thursday we arrange an exhibition of the work that has been made. During the debriefing it is always very surprising to see how much is achieved by everyone in just four days.
The participants always experience these discussions as very inspiring and educational.

There are numerous possibilities for excursions around the farm, such as to Vreeland and Nederhorst Den Berg. Or a boat trip on the Vecht. There are so many great options in the area that we choose on the spot what suits our schedule best.

The workshops are also suitable if you have not been painting for very long.
I give a lot of tips about materials, mixing colors, lay-outs and perspective. There are also all kinds of fun assignments to challenge more experienced painters to new work.
In the reviews about my Art Retreats, the participants difference in experience is always valued as very inspiring.

It's super cool at these types of events that creative people connect with each other so quickly. So if you're a little nervous about traveling alone, don't worry: before you know it you'll have made new friends. The informal atmosphere on the farm certainly helps. And it is of course wonderful that after a few days you go home completely recharged with all kinds of new ideas.

You can stay in the farmhouse. 

There are 7 bedrooms, 5 with their own bathroom ( 2 bathrooms even have a bath).
There are single rooms and double rooms  with separate large boxspring beds 210x90cm.

In addition to the large living room and kitchen, there is a terrace at the water and an outdoor kitchen.

Of course you can extend your stay in Amsterdam if you want to visit some of the famous museums.
If you want advice about that: please feel free to ask.

A maximum of 10 people can participate in the painting workshops.
If the idea appeals to you, it is better not to wait too long to book, last year a number of my Art Retreats were booked up quickly. This is the only painting trip I am organizing in this region this year. If you live nearby you don't have to stay overnight, but the Art Retreat will only take place if at least 5 people stay overnight.

It is wise to take out travel and cancellation insurance in case you are unable to participate in the Art Retreat for some reason,
